Thought you and other members of this community might be interested in my progress. I contacted support at https://support.officelive.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=officeliveworkspaces&ct=eformts. After a few emails and "try this" attempts my case was escalated but I am not sure if that was the down or up escalator. The Microsoft Office Live Escalation Services Team sent a few more emails and "try this" failures. When I suggested we communicate by phone they responded: "Although I do realize phone would make communication faster, we currently we do not offer phone support."
Finally I received an email that paraphrasing says "We know what the error is, we can duplicate it, but we won't fix it now, we don't know when we will fix it, but keep trying. We will close the case now, and won't provide any updates." Perhaps I missed a little in the translation so here is what they actually sent:
"I apologize for the confusion, I now see that what you meant is you were not able to sign up for the Office Live Workspace through your Office Live account to access it from Hotmail. I was able to replicate the issue.
Your issue as one that needs to be escalated to the product group for further investigation. While we do not have an anticipated time frame for the resolution, please be assured that the product group will be working diligently through the issues that are raised.
Once a resolution is reached you should see the results in the functionality of the product where you were experiencing this issue. We appreciate your patience while we work to improve the service and address the particular needs of our customers.
I apologize for the inconvenience this causes. Please let me know if you should have follow-up questions.
I will close this service request at this time as I will not be able to provide updates as to when issue resolution could occur.
Should any new issue issues arise please feel free to contact support again via https://support.officelive.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=officelivefree&ct=eformts.
Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Office Live Escalation Services Team. Jaime"
