Can anybody tell me why the "edit"-button won't show up in IE7 anymore? It used to be there, but now it is gone.
The "edit"-button works fine in Firefox.
I have updated from Windows Update. I have XP SP3 and Office 2007.
Hi Zorci,
It is very likely that ActiveX control showing the Edit button has been disabled. Could you please sign in to Office Live Workspace and go to document preview page, where Edit button is missing. Then go to Tools->Manage Add-ons->Enable or disable Add-ons. You should see a list of currently loaded add-ons. Look for items with name starting with "SharePoint" and enable them in case they are disabled. After clicking OK you should see the Edit button.
Let us know if this helps.

Hi Przemyslaw.
I have looked in all add-ons. There is actually no "Sharepoint"-add-on. I looked in all four categories. No "Sharepoint"-add-on. And all other add-ons where all enabled.
Where can I get the "Sharepoint"-add-on? And why did it just stopped working? Windows update?
Zorci
Zorci,
Could you please try steps from this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/833714? It describes how to bring "Sharepoint" add-on back.
It really didn't help me, cause none of the solutions did work. But I tried to repair my Office, and then rebote my machine. And then it was fixed. Now I can see the edit button again.
I have no explanation but I think the edit button disappeared after an update for Office 2007 on Windows Update.
Thanks for your help.
