The Mind Dragon Success Story

This is such a tremendous tool. I am going to use it in the following areas:

 1) Keeping my diverse Sales Team up to date on all of our proposal and sales processes. With this tool we can share documents between all of us and there is no worries about losing any data. Plus, if a Sales Person is at a remote location he can instantly retrieve the proposal and provide it right there on the spot.

 2) Keeping the knoweldge base of our Helpdesk Team up to date. With this tool we can update all of our procedures on the fly (editors) and all of our staff can be using the latest procedures to support our clients.

 3) Keeping our customers up to date. Our Project Manager can post updates to the various projects using this tool and our clients can retrieve them and also share them out to whoever needs access to it within their company.

Thank you...Microsoft for such an awesome tool. This one tool has revolutionized our company and I believe be a driving factor in our success. As the roll out of this tool moves forward, I will post updates here.

Re: The Mind Dragon Success Story

I just wanted to update some folks on our success with this amazing tool.

I have used it to successfully share website design ideas with our clients. With this tool, we can upload the latest design and they can easily view it using the Office Live tool. We can post updated project status in the same workspace and continue to use the workspace to collaborate on these continuing development projects.

We have posted our entire knowledge base of documents on this site. Anytime there is an update, everyone is viewing the most up to date document. This has reduced our error rate of using older and outdated documents tremendously.

Personally, I am starting to use this tool more and more to centralize all my important documents. I do not have to worry about a hardware failure or backups since I simply store and retrieve the documents via the Office Live.

I successfully collaborated with a Microsoft Publisher document creation between myself, art designers and a writer located in three different timezones. Using this tool was a time saver since we didn't have to worry about versioning the document, emailing it around and worrying if we had the correct version. We could each access the document in the workspace, update the document and complete the project faster than expected.

I have shared proposals to clients using a dedicated workspace for the client. The document is simultaneously shared with my techs, the client and the accounting department. Everyone has access to the data that they need and we are all kept in sync with the latest version of the proposal. Everyone is notified when there is a change plus, they are working on the latest version when they open the document. This has increased the accuracy rate of our billing practices already.

This is such a tremendous tool and I look forward to the continued use of this document system.

Re: The Mind Dragon Success Story

Just another update as far as the experience in the last two weeks.

We have routinely sent Office Live links to all of our customers as a part of updates to our design documents and other communications. Our customers have all expressed an interest in the Office Live system and they all have found it an innovative way to collaborate on projects.

One of my customers is authoring a book and we are providing some graphic design assistance. He absolutely loves this product for the ease of use for allowing multiple people to update a single document. This has reduced the amount of errors due to versioning significantly.

Also, with another one of my customers, we are creating a set of marketing documents and they are able to share the most up to date documents with their sales and marketing people rapidly and for a much lower cost than they used to. This has actually increased their sales and their ability to retain customers. Our use of the system has prompted their use of this system and I think, in turn, their customers use of Office Live.

This has been a great adoption and launch for us and I think we will continue to use this system so long as it is affordable. Based on the ticketing system it looks like there will be a paid version of the system which, I hope, will actually make sense.
