Workspace beta permissions and access

Hi.  Let me see if I can word this in a way that makes sense.  I'm trying to set up a workspace to use with my business.  I want to have a space where potential contractors that I may work with can access, download, and print Agreements, Spec Sheets, and Templates.  So I have a workspace named "Agreements, Spec Sheets, and Templates" (go figure).   I have Agreements in the folder that I would like them to be able to print, sign, and (snail) mail back to me, but I don't want them to be able to change or edit the Agreement, at least not on my workspace.  Will they be able to download, or save, and print the Agreements if they only have "viewer" permission?

My next question.  The spec sheets and templates; I would like the before-mentioned contractors to be able to download, or save the spec sheets and templates to their computer and then make use of them, making changes, additions, or et cetera, as required by each particular project,  With "viewer" permission, will they be able to download, or save, the spec sheets and templates on their computer and then make use of them as they require for each particular project?  I would like them to be able to have full access to these documents to use as needed on their computers, but I don't want them to be able to change my "masters" on my workspace, so I don't want them to have "editor" permission of my workspace.

Will I be able to accomplish these goals with my workspace?

I hope this makes sense to someone.  Any advice you can offer is much appreciated.

Thank you, Pamella.

Re: Workspace beta permissions and access

Yes, you can certainly accomplish these goals. You can share the workspace to the contractors by giving them Viewer permission and they won't be able to change the workspace in OLW, but still able to download and print the documents. If you don't want to the contractors to make changes on the agreements after they download them, you can create the agreements as readonly PDF file.

Thanks!
