Can edit others' files, but not one's own?

Hi, a Japanese user has raised a situation where apparently it is possible for him to open and edit others' Office files from Workspace, but he cannot seem to edit his own uploaded Word or Excel files.

Unfortunately, there has been no further information about what system or program versions he is using.

I'm assuming for the moment he can actually see his own files in the Open window and can open them normally.  Then for some reason, he cannot edit them.  Any ideas what might cause this?  Thank you.

Re: Can edit others' files, but not one's own?

We would need more information to be sure, but it sounds like the user has changed their email address associated with their LiveID. Users can, at any time, go to http://account.live.com and change the email associated with their LiveID. When this happens, OLW gets a little unhappy. The net result is that you can see and get into all of the workspaces you've created and ones that have been shared with you but you won't be able to open any documents (view or edit) in the workspaces you've created. It appears to be working fine for workspaces that have been shared with you. We're looking into it so we can fix this issue for users in the future.
