Unable to download add-in on laptop, while able to download on PC

I cannot download the add-in on my laptop with Windows Vista and Office 2007. I have succesfully downloaded the add-in on my PC with Windows XP and Office 2003. On both machines I have the same version of Norton Security. The browser I use is IE. What could be the problem?

I have Win XP Home 2002 and Word 2000. I installed the Add-In today. I should have read the version instructions, but was focused on a different problem (silly, I know). Shortly after, I found that when I opened Word 2000, the program would hang. The border was there in some fashion, but the menu buttons...
